KING'S WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES THIRD AT NEPA CLASSIC

WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's cross country team opened the 2011 season with a strong showing as the host squad of the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic, Thursday at Hollenback Golf Course. Kings placed third in the 4k race among a field of eight teams with 82 points.
Freshman
Michon Dinwoodie was the Lady Monarchs' top runner with a seventh-place finish, running a 16:06. Kirstie Nichol was 16
th overall at 17:01.90 while
Jill O'Malley placed 21st at 17:16.50.
Madeline Schiminger finished 23
rd with a 17:29.00;
Shannon McGowan was 25
th at 17:34.90; while
Molly Brown cross the tape in 34
th place with a time of 18:01. Allison Garner was the final point-scorer for King's, placing 42
nd at 18:33.80.
Marywood won the team title with 19 points followed by Scranton with 63 points
