Monarchs Hit the Road For Freedom Conference Matchup with Manhattanville
Purchase, NY-- The King's College men's basketball team looks to bounce back from a tough loss Wednesday night when it continues its conference slate at Manhattanville Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

The series is tied 5-5 and the Valiants hold a slight 5-4 edge since joining the Freedom Conference in the 2007-08. This series also has been a tight one with four games going to overtime.
The Monarchs slipped to 8-8 overall and 3-2 in the Freedom and are in a three-way tie for second place in the conference with Eastern and FDU-Florham after a 66-56 loss to rival Wilkes. Manhattanville evened its record at 8-8 and have a 2-3 mark in the Freedom with an 83-79 win at Delaware Valley.
On the season King's has protected the ball committing 217 turnovers, but forcing opponents into 268. The Monarchs have a 1.2 assist to turnover ratio which is tops in the conference.
Kyle Hammonds leads the Monarchs in scoring with 12.6 points per game as well as 3.5 boards.
Keyton Winder is also averaging double figures in scoring with 10.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest.
Matt Fiorino has added 9.8 points per game and connected on 35 3-pointers.
Kyle Stackhouse chips in 9.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest.
Trevoy Pointer is the top scorer for the Valiants turning in 16.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest. Armani Blackmon has 10.8 points and a team-high 8.9 rebounds. Jack Bramswig has also averages double figure scoring with 10.5 points and 7.9 boards.
The Monarchs then return home Wednesday with an important 8:00 p.m. matchup with fellow league playoff contender Misericordia University.
