King's College Men's Basketball Host PNC/Monarch Classic Friday &Saturday
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's basketball team will host the PNC/Monarch Classic Friday and Saturday at Scandlon Gymnasium. The tournament opens on Friday with Wilkes taking on Susquehanna at 6:00 p.m. and King's hosting Central Penn College at 8:00 p.m.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students. King's students and employees will be admitted free with presentation of King's ID. Directions to Scandlon Gymnasium can be found by clicking

Saturday's games will open with Wilkes taking on Central Penn College at 1:00 p.m. and then King's will take on Susquehanna in a rematch of a game earlier this season at the Susquehanna Tip-off Tournament.

The Monarchs enter Friday's contest with a 4-3 overall record after scoring a 101-69 victory over Penn State-Hazleton on Monday. Junior
Kyle Hammonds leads the way for the Monarchs with 12.7 points per game after going for a career-high 36 on Monday. Senior
Matt Fiorino adds 11.3 points and 2.3 assists per game. Sophomore
Keyton Winder tallies 11.0 points and a team-leading 5.6 rebounds.
Tim O'Shea chips in 9.3 points and 4.7 boards per game.
Central Penn College carries an 8-3 record into the matchup with King's after falling 101-86 to Division II Mansfield on Tuesday night. The Knights high-flying offense averages 94.1 points per game led by 21.7 points per game from Devon Dorsey. Dorsey also leads the team in rebounds with 13.3 per game. Wes Kirkland posts 14.4 points and 6.1 rebounds. Keith Wilson averages 11.7 points while Arnold Conner adds 10.1 per contest.
Coming into Friday Wilkes is 2-4 overall after dropping an 81-71 decision to The City College of New York on Wednesday. Chris Shovlin has paced the Colonel offense with 22.8 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game. Bernard Edmonds has chipped in 13.0 points per outing. Tyler Breznitsky is the third Colonel averaging double figures with 12.0 points per game.
Susquehanna stands at 2-5 after knocking off Misericordia 61-56 on Monday. Spencer Ortmyer leads the Crusaders at the offensive end averaging 9.6 points and 5.1 rebounds. J.T. Wilson adds 8.1 points and 2.9 boards. Luke Cable scores 7.1 points per game in just 19 minutes per game.
