Box Score 2 King's Softball Splits a Pair of Games at Seagull Classic
Salisbury, MD-- The King's College softball team finished up the spring break by splitting a pair of games at the Seagull Classic. The Lady Monarchs dropped a 7-6 decision to D'Youville and then knocking off Washington and Jefferson 10-8 in the second game.
Against Washington and Jefferson the Lady Monarchs got a complete game from
Brittany Haight. Haight allowed eight runs, but only five earned while striking out four and walking one.
Amanda Cardone paced the offense in game two going 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored.
Kayla Rutkoski was also 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and one RBI.
The Lady Monarchs threw three different pitchers against D'Youville.
Karissa Kross started the game and went three innings allowing one run on three hits and a pair of strikeouts.
Allison Herbert also pitched three innings giving up four runs all earned.
Annie Erndl finished the game and allowed two runs on one hit.
Cardone batted 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles a run scored and two RBI.
Erin Beane went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored.
The Lady Monarchs have a long lay off after playing 12 games in six days. They are back in action on Wednesday March 21 when they open Freedom Conference play at Manhattanville.
