Lady Monarch Tennis Falls to Albright, 5-2 in Darkness-Shortened Match

KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO ALBRIGHT

READING -- The King's College women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to host Albright College Wednesday in Reading. The match was halted due to darkness with two singles matches not completed.

With the loss, King's fell to 3-9 while Albright improved to 3-6.

Albright started the match by winning two of the three doubles contests. King's team of Katie Rossowski and Vanessa Wagner tallied an 8-1 triumph for the Lady Monarchs' lone win.

In singles, Albright won thee of the four matches that were completed before darkness set in. Rossowski posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at number-five singles for the Lady Monarchs. King's Emily Biffen won her first set 7-5 but the match was called while Liz Demko split her first two sets before the bout was halted.

King's returns to action Saturday with a 11:00 a.m. matchup at FDU-Florham in Madison, NJ.
