Box Score 2 King's Softball Wins a Pair on Opening Day of Seagull Classic
Salisbury, MD—The King's College softball team continued its strong start to the season with a pair of wins at the Seagull Classic hosted by Salisbury College Friday afternoon.
The Lady Monarchs defeated Arcadia 11-2 in the first game.
Erin Beane went 2-for-2 with 4 RBI. Kaitlin Seigfried was was 2-for-3 with a home run two runs scored and an RBI.
Amanda Cardone also belted a homer for the Lady Monarchs.
Annie Erndl picked up the win in the circle pitching all five innings allowing just one earned run.
In the second game King's earned a 9-1 victory over Shenandoah behind five innings of work by
Brittany Haight who allowed just one earned run striking out two and walking four. Beane was 1-for-3 in game two and drove in two more runs.
Brittny Baynes was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
The Lady Monarchs return to action with two games tomorrow in Salisbury. They take on D'Youville at 10:00 a.m. and then will take on Washington and Jefferson at 12:00 p.m.
