KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS TRAVELING TO EASTERN
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College men's and women's basketball teams will continue Freedom Conference play on Saturday when both teams travel to face Eastern University in St. Davids. The women's game tips off at 1 PM with the men's game to follow at 3 PM.
Eastern will be holding a "Coat Drive" during both games. Any spectator bringing a jacket to donate will receive free admission to the game.

The Lady Monarchs are 8-4 overall and 2-1 in Freedom Conference play after a 64-61 win over DeSales on Saturday. The Lady Monarchs are led by the guard tandem of
Celia Rader and
Katlin Michaels. Rader tops the squad with 14.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and has connected on 39 three-pointers. Michaels' all-around game has been outstanding as she adds 13.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 3.3 steals.
Senior forward
Lindsay Atchison follows with 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds; sophomore forward
Ashley Davies contributes 6.9 points and 6.1 boards, while senior forward
Molly Dahl chips in with 5.6 points and 4.6 rebounds.
Eastern is 6-8 overrall and 2-1 in league play after a 83-80 loss at Misericordia on Wednesday.Sophomore center Megan Nowak, the reigning Freedom Conference "Player of the Year", tops the squad with 17.5 points and 10.3 rebounds. Kaitlyn Dougherty follows with 9.5 points and 4.1 boards while Gina Di Domenico adds 8.9 points and 3.6 rebounds with 31 three-pointers.
The King's men, meanwhile, are looking to halt a two-game conference losing skid. King's stands at 6-8 overall and 1-2 in Freedom Conference play after a 69-55 home loss to DeSales on Wednesday. Eastern is 2-12 and 0-3 in the conference after a 83-59 loss at Misericordia.
The Monarchs are led by junior guard
Kyle Hammonds who averages 12.9 points and 3.6 rebounds while making 26 three-pointers. Senior guard
Matt Fiorino follows with 10.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and has connected on 34 treys. Sophomore
Keyton Winder averages 91 points and 4.4 rebounds but may miss the game with an injury. Sophomore forward
Tim O'Shea adds 7.7 points and 3.9 boards.
For Eastern, Anthony Parenti tops the squad with 10.7 points and 4.4 rebounds. Tyler Sowers and Kyle Mallow chips in with 7.7 points each.
