King's Men's Cagers Host Manhattanville


Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The King's College men's basketball team will host Manhattanville on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Scandlon Gymnasium in a key Freedom Conference matchup.

King's improved to 7-9 overall and 2-3 in the Freedom Conference after scoring a 71-54 over Wilkes on Wednesday. The Valiants are also 2-3 in league play and 8-8  overall after a 63-58 against Delaware Valley.

Kyle Hammonds leads the Monarch offense with 12.1 points. Hammonds has also grabbed 3.5 boards and 1.8 assists per game. Matt Fiorino adds 11.8 points per game after going off for a career-high 28 against Wilkes. Keyton Winder chips in 9.1 points and 4.4 boards per contest.

Sophomore Tim O'Shea has provided help off the bench with 8.4 points and 4.0 rebounds. Tom Heston is King's leading rebounder at 5.4 per game while scoring 5.8 points. Ian Oakley leads the Monarchs with 2.9 assists per game while scoring 4.6 points a pulling down 4.8 boards.

Jack Bramswig paced the Valiant offense averaging a double-double of 17.5 points and 10.8 rebounds. Anthony Maestre is 15.6 points per game and has hit 32 three-pointers on the year. Colin Campbel is also averaging double-figure scoring with 10.8 points per contest.
