King's Men's Basketball Travels to Misericordia for Key Freedom Conference Test


Dallas, Pa. – The King's College men's basketball team finishes up its first cycle through the Freedom Conference when they travel to the Anderson Center for an 8:05 p.m. matchup with Misericordia on Wednesday night.  The game will be televised live regionally on WQMY, MyNetwork TV.

Fans can find the game on Service Electric channel 4 (Wilkes-Barre area), Comcast channel 11 (Scranton area), Direct TV HD or DishNetwork 53, or over the air on channel 53.1. 

If you don't get those channels the game will be simulcast live on MyFoxNEPA.com. Look for a link in the upper right corner of the home page.

The Monarchs carry an 8-9 overall record and 3-3 mark in the Freedom Conference after defeating Manhattanville 80-69 on Saturday. Misericordia also stands at 8-9 overall and 4-2 in league play following a 60-57 loss to Delaware Valley.

King's offense is led by junior Kyle Hammonds with 13.0 points per game to go with 3.5 boards. Senior Matt Fiorino adds 12.1 points and 2.2 assists. Fiorino has netted 48 three-pointers on the year. The Monarchs also look to have Keyton Winder back with his 9.1 points and 4.4 boards per contest after missing four games due to injury.

Tim O'Shea has provided a spark off the bench scoring 8.6 points and 4.4 boards per game. Tom Heston chips in 5.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in his freshman campaign. Ian Oakley leads King's with 3.1 helpers per game while scoring 4.4 points and grabbing 4.9 rebounds.

The Cougars are paced by Matt Greene with his 11.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. Steve Ware tallied 10.8 points and a team-leading 6.9 rebounds per contest. Cael Evans chips in 9.6 points off the bench.
