KING'S WOMEN FALL TO GETTYSBURG IN FROSTBURG TOURNEY TITLE GAME

FROSTBURG, MD --  The Gettysburg College women's basketball team placed three players in double-figures and the KIng's College women's basketball team shot just 24.2 percent from the floor as the Lady Monarchs dropped a 63-47 decision in the finals of the Jim Crawley Tip-Off Tournament at Frostburg State University Saturday in Frostburg, Md.

With the loss, King's slipped to 1-1 on the season while Gettysburg improved to 2-0.

King's could never get its offense untracked as the Lady Monarchs fell behind 38-18 at the half, making only 22.2 (6-27) of its shots in the opening stanza. King's managed to outscore Gettysburg 29-25 over the final 20 minutes of play but were unable to dig themselves out of s huge first half hole.

Freshman Shae Grim led KIng's with 14 points and five rebounds off the bench. Marissa Manning, who was named to the all-tournament team for King's, had eight point and six rebounds a day after tallying 21 points in the opener. Tara Zdancewicz and Kayla Feairheller added six points each while Jennifer Fabian posted five points and six rebounds.  Ashley Davies hauled down eight rebounds and dished out four assists in the loss.

Alyssa Isler scored 13 points to pace Gettysburg while Caroline Murphy and Rianna Doane scored 12 and 11 points respectively.
