King's Men's Basketball Takes on Misericordia Tuesday
Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The King's College men's basketball team need a win to stay in the Freedom Conference playoff race as they host Misericordia at Scandlon Gymnasium at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Monarchs bring a 9-14 overall record and 4-8 mark in the Freedom Conference following a 67-61 loss at Manhattanville. King's is in a four-way tie for fifth one game back of the final conference playoff spot. The Cougars clinched a spot in the playoffs and are now 11-12 overall and 7-5 in league play after a 61-58 loss to Delaware Valley.
The Monarchs are paced by junior guard
Kyle Hammonds and his 12.3 points a game. He also grabs 3.4 rebounds. Senior guard
Matt Fiorino adds 10.6 points and his 3-pointer on Saturday made his just the second player in King's history to connect on 200 career triples.
Tim O'Shea has provided a spark off the bench for King's with 7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest.
Keyton Winder missed sometime due to injury, but still averages 7.7 points and 3.5 boards per game.
Joe Caffrey chips in 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.
Four Cougars are averaging double-figures led by Steve Ware with 12.5 while also leading the team with 8.0 rebounds per game. Matt Greene adds 11.2 points and 2.6 boards per outing. Justin Grotevant and Cael Evans each average 10.2 points.
King's hosts Wilkes on Saturday when they host Wilkes at 3:00 p.m. at Scandlon Gymnasium.
