KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS ALBRIGHT, 6-3
WILKES-BARRE --The King's College women's tennis team fell behind 2-1 after doubles but rallied to win five of the six singles contests as the Lady Monarchs posted a 6-3 victory over visiting Albright College Saturday at Kirby Park.
With the win, King's improved to 1-6 on the year while Albright, which entered the match with just one loss, fell to 6-2.
Sara Lynn and Madeline Griffin earned King's lone doubles victory, but the Lady Monarchs stepped up their play in singles.
Griffin earned a hard-fought 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (7-3) win at second singles before Emily Biffen, Kaitlyn Rossowski, Nicole, Molino, and Lauren DeReinzi all added straight victories in the number three-through-six contests.
The Lady Monarchs will be idle until April 2 when King's hosts Lebanon Valley College at Kirby Park.
