King's Women's Tennis Falls at Moravian

Bethlehem, Pa. -- The King's College women's tennis team dropped their opening match of the fall season to Moravian 9-0.

The Lady Monarchs were swept in the doubles matches falling behind 3-0 early.

Madeline Griffin took the first set in top flight singles, but dropped the second set 6-3 and lost the super tiebreaker 10-5.

In number two singles Sara Lynn fell behind after losing the first set 6-3. She evened the score with a 6-3 win of her own before falling 10-5 in the tiebreak.

Molly Conlin, Lauren DeReinzi, Maggie Walsh and Miranda Warunek fell in straight sets to set the final.

The Lady Monarchs are back in action next Sunday when they travel to Susquehanna.
