King's Men's Soccer Falls to Arcadia 1-0 in Overtime

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- The King's College men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 1-0 overtime decision to Arcadia Saturday morning at McCarthy Stadium.

With the loss King's slipped to 3-2-2 while Arcadia improved to 3-4-1.

After neither team could find the back of the net in regulation Arcadia's Joseph Bertucci found a loose ball and floated a high shot over the head of King's goalie Karl Jamiolkowski with three seconds left in the first overtime session to end the game.

The Monarchs held a slight edge in shots 8-7. King's also had the advantage in corner kicks 6-3.

Ryan Lantzy made two saves in the shutout for the Knights. Karl Jamiolkowksi took the loss for King's in net making one save.

The Monarchs return to action next Saturday when they host Marywood at 7:30 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
