FULL DAY-THREE RESULTS

YORK -- King's senior Patricia Manning  placed second in the 400-individual medley while junior Macawley Brown was fourth in the 100-butterfly to pace the King's College swim team during day-three of the Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center in York.

In addition, King's swimmers set two more school-records, bringing the total of new swimming marks to six over the first three days of competition.

In the 400-individual medley, Manning earned a silver medal with a time of 4:46.71, earning first-team All-MAC honors for the Lady Monarchs.

Brown, meanwhile, placed fourth in the 100-butterfly with a time of 59.68, earning second-team All-MAC laurels.  Earlier in the day during the morning preliminary rounds Brown set a new mark in the 100-butterfly with a school-record 59.60, bettering the previous best of 1:00.99 she set earlier in the season.

Monarch junior Kyle Newton placed eighth in the 100-butterfly, touching in at 53.75. Fellow junior Michael Sweeney was 11th in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:48.59.  Freshman James McLaughlin placed ninth in the 100-backstroke with a time of 56.43. The King's men's 200-freestyle relay team of Josh Shoemaker, Newton, Justin Weilert, and Sweeney placed eighth with a time of 1:31.43.

In the 100-breaststroke freshman Marybeth Rudy placed ninth with a new school-record time of 1:11.28. Jonas was 10th with a 1:11.47. Earlier in the day during the preliminary rounds Jonas broke the record in the 100-breaststroke with a 1:11.64, prior to she and Rudy both surpassing the mark in the finals.

King's women's 200-freestyle relay team of Brown, Erin McLin, Caitlin Tracchio, Jonas were ninth with a time of 1:46.08. In the men's 100-breaststroke Matt Dickson was 14th with a time of 1:03.54. In the 400 IM, Alexa Lambert was 13th with a 5:08.43 while Chrissy O'Loughlin was 16th at 5:16.19. McLin was also 12th in the 100-butterfly at 1:02.22.

Shoemaker also scored in the 100-buterfly, finishing with a 56.29.
