YORK, PA (February 14, 2025) – The King's College men's swimming team opened day three of Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday at York College with new personal bests along with Scheckner earning a podium placement.
Matthew Maciejczyk kicked off the day with a 21st place finish in the 200-yard butterfly preliminaries at 2:33.80 and shaved .05 seconds off his time to finish the C final in 2:33.75, earning 21st overall.
Connor Scheckner placed third overall in the 100-yard backstroke prelims with a personal best time of 52.53, breaking his own school record by .16 seconds. In the finals, Scheckner claimed a fifth-place podium finish in 52.69.
Christopher Maciejczyk swam a personal best in the backstroke at 1:04.32, .44 seconds faster than his original. C.Maciejczyk placed 23rd in the finals at 1:06.24.
In the 100-yard breaststroke prelims, Kyle McDevitt touched the wall at 1:06.86 to qualify for the C Finals while teammate Julian Zoquier swam to the wall with a personal best of 1:08.99, .95 seconds quicker than his original standard. McDevitt claimed 24th overall at 1:07.55 in the finals.
The men's team ended the day by claiming seventh place in the 800-freestyle relay, as the squad of M.Maciejczyk, C.Maciejczyk, Zoquier, and Christopher Dutko posted a time of 8:24.64.
King's currently stands at eighth overall at 238 points in the team standings at the end of day three.
The Monarchs return to the pool Sunday morning at 9:30 AM on February 14th, as they'll compete in the final day of MAC Championships.
