KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS HOSTING MISERICORDIA IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's tennis team will host a Freedom Conference Tournament semi-final matchup today at 3:30 p.m. against local rival Misericordia University at Kirby Park.
King's enters the matchup seeded second with an overall record of 9-7 while standing 5-1 in the Freedom Conference. Misericordia is 10-8 overall and 4-2 in league competition. King's won the regular-season meeting between the teams by a 5-4 count back on April 1.

King's is paced by sophomore
Madeline Griffin who sports a 12-6 record in the number-one flight. Junior
Sara Lynn is also 12-6 at second singles while senior
Emily Biffen is 9-6 in the third spot.
Katlyn Rossowski is 4-8 at fourth singles;
Lauren DeReinzi is 5-6 at number-five while
Vanessa Wagner is 4-8 in the sixth position.
In doubles, Griffin and Lynn are 7-11 at number-one while Biffen and Rossowski are 7-6. In the third flight, DeReinzi and
Maggie Walsh are 1-1.
The Misericordia line-up will include senior Cassie Foy at first singles while senior Breanne Phillips is in the second flight. Freshman Megan Meyers plays at third singles while fellow rookie Bridget Boyle holds down the fourth position. Freshman Nellie Chmil plays at fifth singles while freshman Kiana Gough is in the sixth flight.
In doubles, Foy and Phillips are in the number-one spot while Meyers and Boyle play at second doubles. Gough and freshman Carly Youg are in the third flight.
