KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER TO OPEN SEASON SATURDAY AGAINST SUSQUEHANNA

WILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's soccer team will open the 2014 season on Saturday when the Lady Monarchs play host to Susquehanna University at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium in the Betzler Athletic Complex.

King's will look to take another step forward in the building process implemented by fifth-year head coach Frank Carrozza.  After three years of retooling a struggling King's program, Carrozza led the 2013 squad to a 9-8-2 record and a second-place finish in the Freedom Conference Tournament.

The Lady Monarchs return 17 players from last season and welcome four freshmen who hope to contribute to the team's success.
