KING'S FOOTBALL HOSTING STEVENSON IN HOME DEBUT, MAC OPENERTAILGATING POLICY l
PET POLICYWILKES-BARRE – The King's College football team will make its home debut Saturday when the Monarchs open the 2014 Middle Atlantic Conference schedule with a 1:00 p.m. matchup against Stevenson University in McCarthy Stadium.
Tickets for the game are set at $5 for adults and $2 for non-King's students showing I.D. Children Under age-six shall be admitted free.
King's is coming off a 6-4 record in 2013 where the Monarchs finished 6-3 in the MAC. Stevenson was 4-6 overall and 3-6 in the MAC.

ABOUT THE SERIES: This is the fourth all-time meeting between the teams with King's holding a 3-0 advantage. The Monarchs won last season's game 31-24 in Owings Mills, Md. The teams last played in Wilkes-Barre in 2012 with King's winning 51-26 at McCarthy Stadium.
THE COACHES: Monarch mentor Jeff Knarr is in his fifth season of rebuilding the program at King's and owns a 10-31 career record. Stevenson coach Ed Hottle is in his fourth season and stands at 9-22. ??
LAST WEEK: King's opened the 2014 season with a 33-14 non-conference loss at Moravian College. Stevenson, meanwhile, posted a 40-19 non-conference win over North Carolina Wesleyan.
KING'S ON OFFENSE: MULTIPLE-IIn King's opener at Moravian, the Monarchs managed 352 yards of total offense but were unable to capitalize on several opportunities in Greyhound territory. King's rushed for 144 yards in the game while passing for 208 yards. Senior quarterback

STEVENSON ON OFFENSE: MULTIPLE Stevenson amassed 468 yards of total offense in its opener, gaining 297 yards rushing and 171 yards passing. The Mustangs also picked up 26 first downs and held possession for nearly 36 minutes in the game. Freshman quarterback Jeff Farrah completed 14-of-23 passes for 131 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Sophomore running back Trey Lee rushed for 111 yards on 13 carries while seniors Marcus Holley and Emmauel Paul ran for 60 and 57 yards respectively. ??Senior wide receiver Anthony Reid caught six passes for 46 yards with one touchdown while sophomore split end Seth Jordan caught three passes for 44 yards and junior tight end Andrew Wysocki also hauled in three passes for 34 yards. STEVENSON ON DEFENSE: 4-4 The Stevenson defense allowed 267 yards of total offense in its opener. The Mustangs held North Carolina Wesleyan to just 33 rushing yards on 23 attempts and yielded 2234 passing yards. Sophomore linebacker Cory Pietrzyk posted seven tackles with one quarterback sack and two tackles for loss. ??Junior safety Billy Lewis also had seven tackles with one pass break-up. Junior linebacker Resheed Lashley tallied four tackles with a half-sack while junior linebacker Razonte Dunn also had four tackles.
