KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS RESUMING FREEDOM CONFERENCE PLAY WEDNESDAY BY HOSTING DESALESWILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's and men's basketball teams will resume Freedom Conference competition on Wednesday when DeSales University travels to Scandlon Gymnasium. The women's game will tip off at 6:00 p.m. With the men's contest to follow at 8:00 p.m.
King's women are 5-7 overall and 1-1 in Freedom Conference contests following a 64-54 loss to Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday. DeSales stands at 8-5 and 2-0 after a 69-63 overtime loss to Baruch on January 5.

Olivia Hoffman contributes 6.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and has posted a team-high 33 blocked shots. Junior forward
Jennifer Fabian has tallied 6.6 points and 5.7 rebounds while junior forward
Tara Zdancewicz chips in with 5.2 points and 3.7 rebounds. The Lady Monarchs average 61.4 points per-game while yielding 69.6 each contest.
DeSales is led by 6-foot-1 sophomore center Morgan McCollian with 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds while shooting 54.5 (79-145) percent from the field. Sophomore guard Megan Baird follows with 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while connecting on 27 three-pointers. Senior guard Mikelyn Mackavage checks in with 5.2 points and 2.4 rebounds while making 12 three-pointers.
Junior forward Kelly Anthony has tallied 4.8 points and 6.9 rebounds while junior guard Jen Napolitano averages 4.3 points and 2.1 boards. Senior forward Alex Suk chips in with 4.2 points and 4.8 rebounds. The Bulldogs average 65.2 points while allowing 61.1 each contest.
C. FazziniKing's men have been led by the play of sophomore forward
Dan Rutecki who earned a second straight Freedom Conference "Player of the Week" honor on Monday. Rutecki leads King's in both scoring and rebounding, posting 15.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per-game while shooting 52.1 (62-119) percent from the floor and 86.6 (71-82) percent from the foul line. Chris Fazzini follows with 11.4 points and 3.2 rebounds with a team-high 62 steals.

Dan Borner adds 8.2 points and 4.0 rebounds while junior center
Tom Heston has tallied 6.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. Freshman guard
John Fazzini has registered 5.5 points, 3.2 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Nate Oliver chips in with 5.3 points and a team-high 14 three-pointers. The Monarchs average 63.3 points per-game while yielding 62.6 each contest.
DeSales has been guided by junior forward Cody Deal with 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 17 three-pointers. Freshman guard Aaron Burton follows with 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds while sophomore guard Brian Laird has tallied 9.7 points and a team-high 27 three-pointers. Sophomore guard Kuity Slanger has posted 7.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while 6-foot-8 sophomore forward Ryan Callahan averages 7.1 points and 3.9 rebounds.
Travis Bryan, a 6-foot-7 senior forward, chips in with 6.1 points and 9.0 boards while registering a team-high 18 blocked shots. The Bulldogs average 70.1 points while allowing 66.2 each game.
After playing DeSales, both King's teams will take to the road Saturday to face Eastern University in a 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. doubleheader in St. David.
