King's Women's Tennis Drops Florida Finale as Griffin Finishes Trip with 5-0 Mark

KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO REGIS, GRIFFIN FINISHES TRIP WITH 5-0 MARK

KISSIMMEE, FLA -- The King's College women's tennis team wrapped up its Spring Break trip to Florida with a 7-2 loss to a Regis College Thursday in Kissimmee.

With the loss Regis improved to 13-2 while King's slipped to 3-5.

King's junior Madeline Griffin, the reigning Middle Atlantic Conference singles champion, was a 6-0, 6-0 winner  in the number-one flight and finished her southern trip with a perfect 5-0 mark. 

Griffin was part of King's only other victory as she teamed with Julia Keppel for an 8-2 doubles triumph.  King's was also hurt by two forfeits as the Lady Monarchs were only able to bring five players on the trip.
