KING'S WOMEN POST 7-2 WIN OVER FDU

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's women's tennis team swept all three doubles matches then won four of the six singles contests to post a 7-2 victory over visiting FDU-Florham Friday at Kirby Park.

With the win King's improved to 6-8 overall and 3-2 in Freedom Conference play.

Madeline Griffin improved to 19-1 with a straight set singles victory. She also teamed with Julia Keppel for a doubles triumph. Keppel, Vanessa Wagner, and Maggie Walsh each won their singles matches while Wagner teamed with Miranda Warunek paired up for a win at number-three doubles. In the second doubles flight Walsh and Lauren DeReinzi were also winners.

King's will host Scranton Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Kirby Park.
