KING'S FIELD HOCKEY REGISTERS 4-1 WIN OVER RAMAPO
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College field hockey team displayed a balanced attack as four different players scored as the Monarchs registered a 4-1 victory over visiting Ramapo College Sunday at McCarthy Stadium.

With the win King's improved to 8-3 on the year while Ramapo slipped to 1-7.
King's took a 1-0 lead 10 minutes into the game when Kelsey Gabriele redirected a loose ball in front of the Ramapo net

The score grew to 2-0 when Alyssa Monaghan made good on a penalty stroke with 21:26 remaining in the opening stanza.
In the second, King's made its a 3-0 game when Caitlin Wood scored unassisted with 17:55 left in the contest.  Madysen Jones pushed across the Monarchs final goal off an assist by Samantha Raffaele.
Ramapo got on the board when Stephanie Gallo knocked in a loose ball in front of King's net with 3:37 to go.
 
King's outshot Ramapo 21-1 and held a 9-3 advantage in penalty corners.
King's will be idle until Saturday as the Monarchs travel to face defending Freedom Conference champion FDU-Florham in Madison, NJ.
