KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS DOWNS KEYSTONE 9-0
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's tennis team won six of the matches played and added three forfeit victories as the Lady Monarchs posted a 9-0 win over visiting Keystone College Tuesday at Kirby Park.
With the win King's improved to 2-2 while Keystone slipped to 1-6.
King's won both doubles matches played as
Emily Kabalka and
Natalie Coffee won 8-0 at the number-one flight while
Martina Gale and
Alyssa Santarelli were also 8-0 victors in the second flight. King's won the third flight via forfeit.
In singles, Kabalka was a 6-4, 6-3 winner while Coffee posted a 6-2, 6-0 triumph. Gale and Santarelli both posted respective 6-0, 6-0 victories. The Lady Monarchs also picked up forfeits in the fifth and sixth flights.
King's will next compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships Saturday and Sunday at Kirby Park and the Wilkes University Ralston Courts.
