KING'S SOFTBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER WITH ALBRIGHT

READING -- The King's College softball team split a doubleheader with host Albright College Wednesday in Reading. Albright won the first game 1-0 before King's took the nightcap 7-1.

In the first game Amy Kowalczyk led King's with a 1-for-3 showing with a double while Samantha Bloom was 1-for-3 with a triple and Rachael DeTore was 1-for-3. Kelcie Senchak took the loss in the circle, allowing just one run and two hits in the contest.

In the second game, Kelcie Senchak led the Monarchs by going 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a RBI double. DeTore was 3-for-4 with two doubles while Bloom was 1-for-3. Tara Westington was2-for-3 with a double and RBI. Bloom was also the winning pitcher, allowing one run and four hits in the contest.

King's will next travel to face Eastern University Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
