KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS TALLIES 8-1 WIN OVER MARYWOOD
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's tennis team opened a 3-0 lead after doubles, then clinched the match by winning five-of-six singles bouts as the Lady Monarchs registered a 8-1 victory over Marywood University Wednesday at Kirby Park.
With the win King's improved to 3-6 while Marywood slipped to 11-7.
King's dominated the doubles with winning scores of 8-3, 8-3, 8-1. The Lady Monarchs won all five of their singles bouts in straight sets with no player surrendering more than three points in any one game.Â

Maggie Walsh, and
Miranda Warunek were all winners in doubles and singles for King's. Griffin improved to 11-1 on the year in singles.
King's will next play at rival Wilkes Friday at 3:30 p.m.
