In the opener, King's used  seven-run first inning to jump out to a big lead. After Amy Kowalczyl and Nicole Turner each drew two-oiut walks, Lexi Wolk smacked a two-run triple. Rachael DeTore then delivered a two-run home run to give the Monarchs a 4-0 lead. After Alizabeth Ellsworth and Shelby Eby both singles, Senchak drilled a three-run shot over the right centerfield fence to push the score to 7-0.
