KING'S VS. WILKES SOFTBALL TWIN BILL TO SERVE AS FUNDRAISER FOR PEDIATRIC CANCER

WILKES-BARRE --  The King's College and Wilkes University softball teams have been heated rivals over the years and when the teams square off in a 1:00 PM doubleheader on Saturday, both squads are battling for a spot in the MAC Freedom Conference Tournament.  But beyond the rivalry, the game will also serve as a fund-raiser for Pediatric Cancer.

Both teams will wear uniforms highlighting the colors of pediatric cancer – blue and gray.  A tent will be set up near the centerfield fence where parents of KIng's players will be selling raffle tickets with the drawing to be held between games.

The games, meanwhile, are critical for both teams as King's and Wilkes are tied for second-place in the Freedom Conference with identical 7-3 records with just four league games left in the regular-season.
