KING'S FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO 3RD RANKED SALISBURY 4-0

DALLAS — Traditional national power Salisbury University lived up to its number-three pre-season national ranking in field hockey as the Sea Gulls posted a season-opening 4-0 victory over Kings College Friday at the Misericordia University Invitational.

Salisbury, which advanced to the NCAA Division III national tournament "Final Four a year ago, scored the game's first goal after 27:34 had elapsed when Rachel Domanico struck net. Domanici added a quick second gal just 1:42 later to give the Se Gulls a 2-0 half-time lead.

The score remained the same until Salisbury added two more score over the game's final 3:15 of the contest.

Salisbury outshot King's 15-4 and held a 13-4 led in penalty corners.

King's returns to Misericordia Saturday to face Gwynedd-Mercy University at 1:00 PM.
