Led by eighth-year head coach Frank Carrozza, King's is looking to improve upon its 7-8-1 record from 2016 in which the team barely missed a Freedom Conference Tournament berth via a tie-breaking criteria.

King's returns 15 players from last season and a 14-player freshmen class will look to make its presence felt. The youthful King's squad has just one senior and five junior players on the squad.

Paving the way for the squad is the senior combination of senior Kristen Ryan and juniors Mallory Fox and Abby Smith.

Junior forward Allison Andrew is the top returning scorer after registering 11 points on four goals and three assists. Sophomore forward Danielle Putnam followed with nine points on three goals and three assists while Ryan added eight points on three goals and two assists from the midfield. Fellow sophomore Allie Balotin chipped in with two goals.

Players looking to contribute on the forward line with Andrew and Putnam include sophomore Sam Nogula, along with freshmen Emily Harrington, Marissa Dare, Melanie Matthews, Jillian Seay, and Lauren Geiger.

Joining Ryan in the midfield are sop mores Anna Lacalamita and Natalie Poulton, as well as freshmen Breanna Jacinto, Stephanie Corea, Emma Baumbusch, Breaunna Colonna-Dotter, and Bekah Araujo.

Joining Fox and Smith defensively include juniors Andrea Galvin and Liz Waring, sophomores Sophia Sacknievich, Caitlin Hargrave, and Grace Ann Curran, along with freshmen Angela Edgell and Cassie Keady.

In goal, KIng's returns sophomore Jess Schenfeld who played in 13 games as a rookie in 2016 and posted a 1.31 goals against average with 35 saves. Freshmen Elizabeth Nolan and Lindsay Cousins are also battling for playing time.

King's will play a 16-game chedule, which includes seven Freedom Conference contests. The Monarchs make their home debut Wednesday with 4:00 PM matchup against Clarks Summit University at McCarthy Stadium.
