WILKES-BARRE, Pa (September 27, 2018) – King's College women's tennis travels to Madison, N.J. this weekend for a match at Drew University's Tennis Complex. The Lady Monarchs will play Drew University at 10:00 a.m. After the Homecoming contest was cancelled, this will be the first bit of action the Monarchs see since the King's Fall Invitational earlier this September. King's College has not met with Drew University previously.

At the King's Invitational, King's fared well, seeing six players advance into the semifinals of their respective flights while sophomore Emily Fernandez was a finalist at the No. 1 position. Martina Gale also made an appearance in the semifinals in the second flight while Alyssa Santarelli just missed the No. 3 finals. Mikayla Reynolds of the sixth flight, Diana Rodriguez of the seventh and Cailyn Hillier of the days final draw were also semifinal participants.

The doubles draw was cancelled due to weather, as was Sunday's entire second day.

This is also the first match of the season for the Rangers after the match against Suny-Delhi September 25, was postponed. Last season Drew finished 8-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play. Ashley Camel led the team's singles with an overall of 12-4. The team finished with .600 overall percentage. Camel and Ty Ty Witten conquered in doubles going undefeated 10-0.
