Box Score 3 MYRTLE BEACH, SC (March 6, 2019) – The Monarchs faced three different opponents on their last day of play going 1-2 in their matches. King's College fell to Wesley College 0-6 and Barton College 1-2 and beat Chatham University 6-0. The team leaves the Fast Pitch Dreams Classic 3-4.
Game One: King's 0, Wesley 6
The Monarchs struggled to keep up with Wesley as they posted three runs in just the first inning. King's recorded seven hits and six walks in their 28 at bats.
Nicole Kirse took the loss for King's pitching six innings allowing ten hits and five runs with three strikeouts. The junior recorded a game highlight of 21 first pitch strikes against her opponents.
Gabriella Medina led King's in hits and was able to go 2-for-4 at the plate.
Game Two: King's 8, Chatham 0
King's came back in their second game of the day to clinch eight runs and allowing none by Chatham. The team had 15 total hits in the game and committed no errors in the field.

Marisa Mauro all posted multiple hits with almost all players recording at least two but
Taylor Norris led the team in runs with three.
Freshmen pitcher
Gianna Marsico threw a complete game shutout for the Monarchs going six innings with zero runs on six hits, walking one batter and striking out four in her time on the mound.
Andria Narisi led the team in chances in the field with 11 while Yori contributed five assists to the team.
Game Three: King's 1, Barton 2
The Monarchs played a last minute contest against Barton College dropping 1-2. Norris was able to record King's only run before Barton tied things up in the bottom of the second.
The Monarchs resume play, Thursday, March 14, at Muhlenburg College for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Allentown, PA.
