WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 16, 2019) --- The King's College women's ice hockey program announced the addition of Brice Baricevic to the coaching staff for the upcoming season on Friday morning.

Baricevic comes to King's from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri where he was an assistant coach. He was responsible for the skill development of the student-athletes while also assisting with the operations of the program.

"Being hired on at King's means a lot to me," said Baricevic. "It was everything I have been looking for, and the faculty and staff have been nothing but supportive since my first contact. I cannot wait to get on the ice and start working with these student-athletes!"

Baricevic has a wealth of experience working for USA Hockey and the Southern Illinois IceHawks. He is a Central District Evaluator for USA Hockey and a head coach and skills/skating instructor for the IceHawks. The Level 3 USA Hockey Certified Coach led the 8u, 10u, 14u, 16u, and 18u IceHawks over the course of the past six years. Baricevic graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2014 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in History.

"I am excited that King's College is a small school, as well as a new hockey program. This is will allow me to build relationships with players, other staff and professors in the classroom. I am also excited to work so closely with the King's College athletic department, and I know I will be able to learn a lot from them and grow as both a person and a coach. I bring a positive attitude and that allows our ceiling to grow, as well as a strong work ethic. I take pride in being the first one in, and last one out at the rink. Taking the extra time to work one on one, or in groups with the players is something that I am looking forward to and will help our team succeed."
