Patrick Bennie has earned his first career MAC Freedom Player of the Week honors.
Bennie led the Monarchs to an 89-78 overtime win against FDU-Florham. The first year recorded a double-double and career highs with 32 points and 15 rebounds. The forward also finished the game shooting 10-for-14 from the floor and 12-for-16 from the charity stripe, adding an assist and a block in the win.
Bennie earns his first MAC Freedom weekly award for his young career. He is also the first Monarch men's hooper to be recognized in the weekly awards since Andrew Hudak earned the nod on January 27, 2020.
The Monarchs look to continue the momentum into this tough week in MAC Freedom play as they travel to top-ranked DeSales on Wednesday evening before hosting Arcadia on Saturday afternoon.
