WILKES-BARRE, PA (March 24, 2026) -- On Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025-26 Academic All-District® Teams with the recognition of men's basketball student-athletes. This year's honorees featured three members of the King's College men's basketball team in juniors Ben Rodner-Tims, Ray Gooley, and Matt Christian.
 
Rodner-Tims earned his second CSC Academic All-District® honor after starting all 25 games for the Monarchs during the 2025-26 season. The junior guard, an All-MAC Freedom Honorable Mention selection, led the team with 18.1 points per game while shooting 52.7 percent from the field. He also averaged 5.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest, finishing with 452 points and 104 assists on the year. Among MAC Freedom leaders, Rodner-Tims ranked third in scoring, fifth in field goal percentage, and sixth in assists.
 
Gooley earned his first CSC Academic All-District® selection after appearing in 25 games for the Monarchs during the 2025-26 season. The junior averaged 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest while providing a strong defensive presence with 13 blocks and 15 steals on the year. He also knocked down 24 three-pointers and shot 76.0 percent from the free throw line.
 
Christian also earned his first CSC Academic All-District® selection after appearing in 25 games for the Monarchs during the 2025-26 season. The junior averaged 7.2 points per game while shooting 38.9 percent from three-point range, knocking down a team-high 42 triples on the year. He ranked seventh in the MAC Freedom in three-point percentage and added 24 assists while shooting 71.4 percent from the free throw line.
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
