ANNVILLE, PA (October 24, 2022) -- After leading the King's College football team to a thrilling victory on Saturday afternoon, graduate student quarterback
Tyler Moore was announced as the MAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning. Moore is the first Monarch to earn a weekly honor from the conference office this season.
The Elk Ridge, Md. native led King's to a 34-24 win over Lebanon Valley as he threw for 315 yards with four touchdowns, delivering 14 passes on 26 attempts for a 53.8 completion percentage. He connected with six different receivers, including three different receivers for touchdown receptions, as he posted his career-best 315 yards and a career-high four touchdown passes in a battle of one-loss MAC teams.
Moore also becomes the first 300-yard passer since Zach Whitehead threw for over 300 yards in the 2017 Mayor's Cup game against Wilkes. Additionally, Moore is the first King's quarterback to receive the MAC Offensive Player of the Week award since Zach Whitehead picked up the honor in 2017.
