2022 King's College Field Hockey Schedule

WILKES-BARRE, PA (July 6, 2022) -- The King's College athletic department is pleased to release its next schedule for the fall of 2022 as the King's College field hockey sets its sights on their 2022 schedule. The slate features 17 contests with nine home games scheduled for McCarthy Stadium this fall.

King's will open the 2022 season in front of their home crowd in McCarthy Stadium against Cedar Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 1. The Monarchs will then face their first road test of the season at Neumann on Sept. 3 before returning home on Sept. 7 to take on local Scranton under the lights. After a short trip up to Scranton to face Marywood on Sept. 9, King's will host a three-game home stretch with contests against Immaculata on Sept. 10, Susquehanna on Sept. 14, and the MAC Freedom opener on Sept. 17 against Wilkes as the night cap for Homecoming 2022 weekend.

The Monarchs will take a break from McCarthy Stadium as the road warriors will endure five straight away contests, wrapping up non-conference play at Keystone on Sept. 20, at Moravian on Sept. 27, and at Drew on Sept. 29. MAC Freedom matchups  in the stint included a first-ever meeting with Lycoming on Sept. 24 and a trip to Center Valley to face DeSales on Oct. 7.

The remaining MAC Freedom schedule will see the Monarchs host Arcadia on Oct. 12, Misericordia on Oct. 22, and Stevens on Oct. 26. Road conference bouts include trips to Delaware Valley on Oct. 15 and FDU-Florham on Oct. 19.

With the addition of Lycoming, the MAC Freedom tournament will expand to five teams for the 2022 season. The opening round of the 2022 MAC Freedom Championships is set for Oct. 31, with the semifinals scheduled for Nov. 2. This year's MAC Freedom Champions are slated to be crowned on Nov. 5.
