2022-23 King's College Men's Basketball Schedule

WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 3, 2022) -- On Wednesday afternoon, the King's College men's basketball team and head coach J.P. Andrejko released their 2022-23 schedule. The Monarchs will compete in 24 contests, including 16 against MAC Freedom opponents, with 14 games held in front of their home crowd in McGrane Gymnasium.

King's opens the season with a two-game home stretch against Penn State Scranton on Nov. 8 and against Penn State Hazleton on Nov. 11. The Monarchs will then head down to Allentown, Pa. for their first road test against Muhlenberg College on Nov. 16 before returning to Wilkes-Barre to take on Elizabethtown on Nov. 19. One more non-conference bout with Clarks Summit on Nov. 21 will prepare the Monarchs for their MAC Freedom opener.

Conference play begins on Nov. 27 as King's will make the short trip up the mountain to take on Misericordia before facing the defending MAC Freedom Champions from DeSales on the road on Nov. 3. King's will host their MAC Freedom home opener against Delaware Valley on Dec. 3 before going on their finals week break.

After the academic pause, King's will host Arcadia in the conference match up on Dec. 10 before hosting Penn College on Dec. 12 heading into the holidays. Play will resume one last time in 2022 as the Monarchs host the University of Scranton on New Year's Eve day at 2:00 p.m. in McGrane Gymnasium.

In the new year, King's will play its fifth straight home game against FDU-Florham on Jan. 4 before making the trip to Hoboken, NJ to take on Stevens on Jan. 7. The Monarchs will then take on their final non-conference opponent of the season on Jan. 9 as they host Penn State Lehigh Valley.

The remaining home MAC Freedom games features contests with Wilkes on Jan. 18, DeSales on Jan. 25, Misericordia on Feb. 1, Lycoming on Feb. 8, and Stevens on Feb. 11. Road tests in the conference slate include match ups at Lycoming on Jan. 11, Delaware Valley on Jan. 21, FDU-Florham on Jan. 28, Arcadia on Feb. 4, and the regular-season finale at Wilkes on Feb. 14.

The MAC Freedom Championship Tournament is set to begin on Feb. 20 with the opening round match up between the fourth and fifth seeds. The semifinals are scheduled for Feb. 22, and the MAC Freedom Champion will be crowned on Feb. 25 with a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament on the line.
