DALLAS, PA (January 21, 2023) -- The King's College women's swimming team made the short trip up the mountain on Saturday morning and fell to the host Misericordia University, 165-19, in the Anderson Center. The Monarchs drop to 0-10 in dual meets, while the Cougars improve to 8-0.
 
Maddison Quick and Roni McClelland started the meet for King's (0-10) in the 50-yard freestyle as Quick finished third in 27.77 seconds and McClelland posted a time of 30.14 seconds. Jamie Navarro made her first appearance of the meet in the 200-yard individual medley as she placed third out of six swimmers in 2:28.64.
 
Quick then competed in the 100-yard freestyle as she finished second out of four swimmers with a time of 1:00.06. The pair of Navarro and Quick placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 100-yard backstroke as Navarro finished in 1:11.78 and Quick posted a time of 1:13.07.
 
In the 100-yard breaststroke it was Navarro and McClelland to finish just seconds apart with Navarro crossed in 1:18.46 and McClelland finished in 1:24.32 to complete the meet for King's.
 
The Monarchs will conclude their dual meets for the 2022-23 season next Saturday, January 28 as they make the short trip across town to take on Wilkes University. The meet is set for a 1:00 p.m. start time at the Wyoming Valley CYC.
