ANNVILLE, PA (October 2, 2023) -- For the first time in her career, senior midfielder Ashley Thalassinos was recognized by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office in their weekly honor roll. The senior collected MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week accolades for her play in the Monarchs match ups with Drew and Manhattanville last week.

Thalassinos recorded five points on two goals and an assist off eight shots with five on target for the week. She began the week with two shots in a tough 2-1 home loss to Drew on Wednesday. The Matamoras, Pa. native then had a career day on senior day, scoring her first two career goals and assisting on a third off six shots with five on frame in the 4-1 win over Manhattanville on Saturday.

This marks the first time a Monarch field hockey player was recognized by the conference office this season. Thalassinos is also the first King's field hockey player to receive the honor since Ellie Glatz was named MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week twice last season, and she is the first to be named MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week since Danielle Runo picked up the award on September 23, 2019.
