Harley Sullivan were honored for their efforts on the diamond and in the classroom.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Farr receives her first CSC Academic All-District® nod in her career. The accounting and finance major totaled 12 hits with nine runs and four RBIs at the plate in her 23 games, while maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 47 putouts and an assist as an outfielder. Gillette also picks up her first award as the first baseman ranked fourth on the team with a .315 batting average, a .435 slugging percentage, and 29 hits while ranking third with 21 RBIs and five doubles. The physician assistant major recorded a .993 fielding percentage with a 141 putouts and six assists with just one error as a junior.
Krouse collects her first CSC Academic All-District® honors in softball after earning the award during the winter season for the King's women's basketball team. Another strong campaign saw Krouse collect All-MAC Freedom First Team honors while leading the team with a .387 batting average, adding 46 hits, 26 runs scored, eight extra base hits, and a perfect 26-for-26 in stolen base attempts. The physician assistant major maintained a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage as an outfielder with 58 putouts and three assists. Sullivan appears on her first CSC Academic All-District® team as a sophomore after she was also recognized as an All-MAC Freedom First Team selection as a catcher. The exercise science major ranked third among the Monarchs with a .343 batting average, putting up 37 hits with a team second-best 22 RBIs, and seven doubles to go along with a .990 fielding percentage and a team-leading 186 putouts with 18 assists.
