WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 31, 2023) -- With the final release of the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® teams, the King's College women's cross country and track and field teams were honored as five received the recognition on the 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams. Senior Gabriella Conforti, junior Adele Hollander, and sophomores Madison Armitage, Zoe Tomko, and Victoria Zultevicz collected their first CSC Academic All-District® accolades as released by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.

The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Conforti caps off a strong career with the Monarchs as she adds CSC Academic All-District® accolades to her list of accomplishments. She now holds the record for the outdoor triple jump at 11.31 meters and the indoor triple jump at 10.92 meters, and her name will remain in the track and field record books as she owns all 10 of the best indoor marks as well as nine out of 10 in the outdoor rankings. The exercise science major posted podium finishes in every MAC Championships, both indoor and outdoor, for the triple jump with a silver medal in 2021 and a bronze medal in 2023.

Hollander, a clinical laboratory science major, posted another strong campaign with the King's track and field program in 2022-23 to help earn Academic All-District® honors. She has finished on the podium in each MAC Championships, both indoor and outdoor, in the shot put, while earning the outdoor silver medal in 2022 and the outdoor bronze in 2023. Additionally, she achieved a podium-finish in the hammer throw at the 2022 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Armitage had a breakout season in the 2022-23 campaign for the Monarchs, setting a new outdoor high jump record at 1.60 meters at the Monarch Open. The physician assistant major also earned a podium finish at the 2023 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, placing fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.54 meters.

Tomko collects the academic honor to add to her list of accomplishments on the cross country course this past fall. She picked up her second consecutive All-MAC Second Team honors for her 13th place finish at the 2022 MAC Championships, while the physician assistant major added a MAC Runner of the Week award and a nod on the Women's Cross Country Academic All-MAC Team.

Zultevicz, a biochemistry and molecular biology major, had another standout season, setting new career bests during the 2022-23 season in all but two events. During the indoor season, Zultevicz broke the records in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.40 seconds and the pole vault as she cleared a height of 2.75 meters. Throughout the outdoor season, she set new program records in the pole vault at 3.30 meters and the heptathlon with 3,713 points. Additionally, Zultevicz earned the bronze medal in the pentathlon at the 2023 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships and the silver medal in the heptathlon at the 2023 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
