WILKES-BARRE, PA (June 16, 2023) -- The 2023 season brings new traditions and new changes for King's College football as they unveiled their 2023 schedule on Friday. Under the reign of newly appointed head coach Skyler Fultz, the Monarchs will tackle an exciting 10-game slate in 2023.

The season opens with the highly anticipated and historic rivalry in the annual Mayor's Cup game with cross-town foe Wilkes University. The contest, typically held in the final week of the regular season, will now begin the season as the Colonels depart for the Landmark conference. Kickoff is set for noon in Edwardsville on Saturday, September 2.

The Monarchs will stay on the road one more week for a quick trip up to Dallas to take on Misericordia in their Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) opener on September 9 before hosting their home opener at McCarthy Stadium for Homecoming Weekend against Albright on September 16 with a 1 pm kickoff.

Remaining road tests on the MAC schedule include trips to Delaware Valley on September 23, Lebanon Valley on October 14, Widener on October 28, and Stevenson on November 4. King's will play host to FDU-Florham on October 7 for their Helsinki's Hope and Morgan's Message Dedication game, Eastern on October 21 for their Future Monarch Camper Appreciation Day, and Alvernia in the regular-season finale on October 11 as they honor both their seniors and their Veteran's Day Appreciation game.

Bye week is set for September 30, and the annual Centennial-MAC Bowl Series games are scheduled for November 18.
