Women's Cross Country Competes in 2024 MAC Championships

GRANTHAM, PA (November 2, 2024) -- On Saturday morning, the King's College women's cross country team competed in the 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships. This year's meet was hosted by Messiah University on their own Messiah Cross country Course.
 
On the 6,000-meter course, Cecilia Chipriano was the first to cross in 26:09.9 to place 53rd out of the 126 runners. Lindsey Eyer finished next in 28:21.4, and Mara Ryan posted a time of 29:00.9. Sarah Hartzell rounded out the team's efforts with a personal best time of 36:15.9.
 
Misericordia won the team title with 50 points, led by Grace Gallagher in second. Widener's Gabriella Nye won the individual title in 22:33.5.
 
King's will begin its preparations for the 2024 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Meet on Saturday, November 16 at Lock Haven's West Branch Cross Country Course.
