DALLAS, PA (September 13, 2025) – The King's College women's cross country competed at the Cougar Classic on Saturday morning. The Monarchs had four runners who finished in the top 20 to finish fourth out of nine teams.
Senior
Cecilia Chipriano led the Monarchs on Saturday, placing 12
th with a time of 26:56 on Misericordia University's 6,000 meter course.
Senior
Ava Butcher, graduate student Katherine Smith, and junior
Mara Ryan each placed in the top 20 of the 44-runner field.
Butcher ran a time of 28:24, finishing 18
th, followed by Smith in 19
th place with a time of 28:34. Ryan was right behind Smith, finishing 20
th with a time of 28:59.
Sophomore Sarah Hatzell was the last scoring Monarch who finished 5
th on the team and 27
th overall with a time of 31:25.
Sophomore
Shelby Shepanski finished 30
th overall with a time of 32:00, followed by first year teammate
Grace Visneski who crossed the line with a time of 33:27, placing 34
th overall.
King's women's cross country will race again on Saturday, September 27 as the Monarchs will compete in Carlisle, PA at the Dickinson Long/Short Invite starting at 10:30 AM.
