NEWTOWN, PA (February 28, 2024) -- On Wednesday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office released the 2023-24 All-MAC Freedom men's basketball teams, and for the second consecutive season junior Chris Patton received post-season honors, earning a spot on the All-MAC Freedom Second Team, as voted on by the eight conference coaches.

Patton is coming off another stellar season as the junior guard served as the only Monarch to appear and start in all 25 games in the 2023-24 season. He led the team and ranked second in the MAC Freedom in scoring with 17.2 points per game, while ranking fifth in steals with 39, 11th in free throw percentage at 75.2%, 15th in field goal percentage at 44.1%, 16th in threes per game (1.4), assists (56), and rebounding (4.2), and 18th in blocked shots with 11. The Havertown, Pa. native recorded double figures in 22 out of 25 games this season, including eight games with 20-plus points.

He earned MAC Freedom Player of the Week honors once coming off a career-high performance with 33 points, adding eight rebounds, two steals, and an assist in the thriller at FDU-Florham on January 27. Patton also helped lead the Monarchs to the win in their regular-season finale over Misericordia, dropping 23 points with nine rebounds, two assists, and a block.

Misericordia's Kevin Lazdowsky was named Player of the Year, while DeSales' Head Coach Scott Coval earned Coach of the Year. Stevens collected the other two remaining major awards as Jack Spellman collected Defensive Player of the Year, and Xander Singh tabbed Rookie of the Year.
