NEWTOWN, PA (January 27, 2025) -- On Monday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office began its unveiling of the 2025 Spring Coaches' Preseason Polls. The 2025 MAC Freedom Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll listed the King's College softball team finishing eighth as voted on by the conference coaches.
The 2024 champions from Lebanon Valley garnered the top spot in the polls with 48 points and six of the eight first-place votes, while runner-ups DeSales claimed second with 39 points and the other two remaining first-place votes. Misericordia finished third with 37 points, while Delaware Valley rounded out the top four spots with 28 points.
King's was slated eighth with 11 points, just four behind Arcadia in seventh (15 points), while FDU-Florham was voted fifth (24 points), and Stevens came in sixth (22 points).

Emily Novicki who earned All-MAC Freedom recognition as a sophomore in 2023 and has amassed 254 strikeouts in her career. King's graduated just one from their 2024 roster and welcome back nine who appeared in at least 20 of their 34 games last season. Under the direction of veteran head coach Lisa Gigliello in her 34th season, King's is set to battle for a spot in the 2025 MAC Freedom Tournament.
King's is set to open the 2025 season in North Myrtle Beach, SC as part of their annual spring training trip in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in early March. Be on the lookout for their schedule release in the coming days.
