NEWTOWN, PA (October 22, 2025) -- In its first season under interim head coach Rich Gray, the King's College men's basketball team placed eighth with eight points in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Coaches' Preseason Poll, as released by the conference on Wednesday. 
 
Arcadia earned the top spot in the poll with 48 points and six first-place votes. Stevens followed in second place with 42 points and two first-place votes, while DeSales rounded out the top three with 34 points.
 
Delaware Valley landed right below DeSales with 33 points to claim fourth place. Misericordia came in fifth with 26 points, FDU-Florham collected 20 points for sixth place and Lebanon Valley picked up 13 points for a seventh-place selection.
 
The Monarchs open their 2025-26 regular season on the road, traveling to Penn College on Saturday, November 8. Tipoff against the Wildcats is slated for 1:00 p.m. King's returns home to McGrane Gymnasium for its home opener against Oneonta, November 22 at 3:00 p.m.
