SCRANTON, PA (November 23, 2025) -- The King's College women's swim team competed in the annual Electric City Invitational hosted by Marywood, this weekend at the Marywood Aquatics Center. The Monarchs finished seventh with a combined score of 71 points. Lock Haven University won the meet, scoring 840 points.

The team posted several personal best times at the three-day meet, with
Mackenzie Huffer leading the charge with a trio of Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship-qualifying performances.

During session one, the squad of
Athena Gerlek, Makenzie Huffer,
Abigayle Cryan and
Stefany Malaga Nunez placed tenth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time 2.19.72.

In the 200-yard IM, Nunez claimed ninth swimming to the wall in 2:57.69. Nunez additionally placed 17
th in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 29.13. Cryan and Gerlek finished 26
th and 27
th with times of 38.86 and 47.06, respectively.

During session two, Huffer qualified for MAC's in the 100-yard butterfly by touching the block with a personal best in 1:07.66. Cryan and Gerlek placed 15
th and 16
th respectively in the 200-yard freestyle, as Cryan swam a 3:11.24 and Gerlek touched in 3:38.54.

Huffer recorded another personal best in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:09.61 to earn sixth and pick up a second MAC invite.

During the third and final session, Huffer finished third in the 200-yard backstroke touching the wall in 2:27.84 to earn her third MAC qualification of the invitational. Cryan and Gerlek earned 19
th and 20
th in the 100-yard freestyle, recording times of 1:25.72 and 1:39.82 to end the day.

The Monarchs return home to host Gallaudet University in the Scandlon Natatorium, December 5 at 5:00 p.m.
