Five from King's Softball Named to CSC Academic All-District® Team

WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 29, 2025) -- On Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 CSC Academic All-District® softball teams. This year, five from the King's College softball team were recognized in senior Harley Sullivan, juniors Courtney Grogan and Jess Perella, and sophomores Paige Bergan and Madisyn vonFrisch.

Sullivan picks up her second CSC Academic All-District® nod in her career as the senior catcher posted a 3.57 GPA as an exercise science and athletic training major. She appeared and started in 35 out of a possible 38 games while leading the team with 30 hits, 11 RBIs, and eight doubles with a .259 batting average.

Grogan picks up her second career honor as the junior pitcher appeared in 13 games with six starts and 39.0 innings pitched for a 2.15 ERA and 25 strikeouts. The sophomore is a physician assistant major with a 3.67 GPA. Perella also receives her second CSC Academic All-District® recognition as the sophomore posted a 3.77 GPA as a physician assistant major. The infielder appeared in 31 games with 28 starts, totaling 13 hits, eight RBIs, two doubles, and a team-high 15 walks.

Bergan and vonFrisch each collect their first career honor from the College Sports Communicators as Bergan posts a 3.78 GPA as a physician assistant major. The sophomore appeared in 33 games with 29 starts as a first baseman, leading the team with a .309 batting average and totaling 29 hits with eight runs and seven RBIs. vonFrisch emerged as a force in the circle for the Monarchs as the sophomore tossed 72.0 innings in 15 appearances with seven starts and six complete games for a 2.63 ERA. The pre-physician assistant major recorded a 3.71 GPA.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
